ClonerAlliance standalone video recorders support external media sticks, STB, etc but not TV built-in apps.
ClonerAlliance standalone video recorders are very suitable for recording video and audio from media stick, media device, set-top box, etc. due to their built-in H.264/H.265 encoder and the PC-free recording feature. Then how to connect the devices? Take Roku as an example.
Step 1: Connect Roku to IN port on ClonerAlliance hardware via an HDMI cable.
Step 2: Connect ClonerAlliance hardware from OUT port to TV via an HDMI cable.
Step 3: Plug the USB flash drive or external hard drive into ClonerAlliance hardware.
Step 4: Plug the power adapter into the power socket and plug the other end into the 5V/2A port of ClonerAlliance hardware.
Step 5: Power on ClonerAlliance hardware after all devices and cables are well connected.
Tips: Please use a premium USB flash drive or mobile hard disk with high speed to avoid unexpected problems such as file loss.
