Using HDMI Passthrough for Viewing and Recording with ClonerAlliance Box Pro Pocket

The ClonerAlliance Box Pro Pocket features HDMI passthrough, allowing you to record video content while simultaneously viewing it on an external display, such as a TV or monitor.

How HDMI Passthrough Works

  1. Connect your HDMI source: Plug your video source (e.g., game console, Blu-ray player) into the HDMI IN port on the ClonerAlliance Box Pro Pocket.

  2. Connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port: This cable will connect to your external display, such as a TV or monitor.

  3. Start recording: Press the REC button on the device or remote control. The video will be displayed on your external monitor while the recording takes place on your chosen storage device.

Benefits of HDMI Passthrough

  • Real-time monitoring: Watch the video in real-time on a larger screen while the recording is ongoing.

  • No additional equipment needed: You don’t need an HDMI splitter or extra cables, as the passthrough feature handles both recording and output simultaneously.

  • Low latency: The device supports ultra-low latency for passthrough, ensuring no delay between the video source and the external display.

Note

The HDMI passthrough does not affect the recording resolution or quality.
